The Fresh Strap is No Longer Available
Over a year ago, WHOOP® contacted us asking The Fresh Strap to stop selling third-party bands. We asked them to send over their patent so we could evaluate the request properly, but they never got back to us. Months passed with no follow-up. Then once their patent was finally granted, they reached out again. At that point, we had just restocked, but we agreed to shut things down after selling through our existing inventory. That was the plan. But later, WHOOP® flagged and removed our Amazon listing for patent infringement, cutting off our main sales channel before we could finish selling what we had left. When we told them we’d sell through our stock, they said they were asking other third-party sellers to stop as they became aware of them. But months have gone by, and those sellers are still up. Many of them are offering even more blatant knockoffs with added parts, extra features, and even exact copies of bands WHOOP® sells directly. It’s hard to believe WHOOP® isn’t aware of them. It seems like they’re just going after American businesses while the foreign sellers get to thrive. The enforcement doesn’t feel fair or consistent. We shut down The Fresh Strap because the whole situation became too risky and unstable to continue. We’re proud of what we built, and we appreciate every single person who supported us along the way. Thank you for being part of the journey. - Gavin
